Careers at Bridgeport Public Schools
Bridgeport is located in the western Nebraska Panhandle with abundant outdoor recreation and is located within a 2 to 3 hour drive of the Rocky Mountains. The school has a K-12 enrollment of approximately 470 students. BHS competes in C1 and C2 activities with a new school, auditorium and gymnasium. Business Manager
Bridgeport Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of Business Manager.
The Business Manager will work closely with the superintendent and will include the following responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day tasks related to accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Payroll
- Managing district bank accounts
- Assisting with other administrative duties as needed/assigned

Substitute Teachers
Bridgeport Public Schools is looking for substitute teachers. $145.00 per day
Local Substitute Teaching Certificate:
- Valid for 3 years
- Limited to 90 days of Substitute Teaching
- Valid only in the requesting school system
- Requires a written request from Superintendent for issuance of permit. Contact George Schlothauer 308-262-0346
State Substitute Teaching Certificate:
- Valid for 5 years
- Authorizes Teaching in any subject at any level
- Unlimited number of days of teaching
