Careers at Bridgeport Public Schools

Bridgeport is located in the western Nebraska Panhandle with abundant outdoor recreation and is located within a 2 to 3 hour drive of the Rocky Mountains. The school has a K-12 enrollment of approximately 470 students. BHS competes in C1 and C2 activities with a new school, auditorium and gymnasium. Science Teacher
Bridgeport High School is seeking applicants for the potential vacancy of a General Science Teacher in the 2025-2026 school year. Paraeducator Position

Substitute Teachers

Bridgeport Public Schools is looking for substitute teachers.

 

Local Substitute Teaching Certificate:

  • Valid for 3 years
  • Limited to 90 days of Substitute Teaching
  • Valid only in the requesting school system
  • Requires a written request from Superintendent for issuance of permit. Contact George Schlothauer 308-262-0346

 

State Substitute Teaching Certificate:

  • Valid for 5 years
  • Authorizes Teaching in any subject at any level
  • Unlimited number of days of teaching
Substitute Bus Drivers
Bridgeport Public Schools is looking for a substitute bus drivers for small vehicles and drivers with a CDL. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Maria Brown at 308.225.1335.
