Extra Curricular Activities
Bridgeport High School has a history of competitive athletic programs across various sports. The school's teams have excelled in conference, district, and state competitions, showcasing their dedication, talent, and sportsmanship. With state-of-the-art facilities and a commitment to excellence, Bridgeport High School's sports programs inspire students to push their boundaries and reach their full potential.
Football
The Bridgeport Football program is currently participating in the 8-Man division, playing 11-Man in previous seasons. The Bulldogs have had multiple State Playoff appearances over the years, with the most recent appearances in 2022 and 2020.
Volleyball
The Bridgeport Bulldog Volleyball team is consistently one of the top performers in both the Western Trails Conference and the South Platte Valley Conference.
Girls Golf
The Bridgeport Girls Golf program has a successful and competitive team that practices and plays each day on the scenic Courthouse and Jail Rock Golf Course.
Boys Cross Country
The Bridgeport Bulldog Cross Country team has been very successful in both the Western Trails Conference and the South Platte Valley Conference. Each year the Bulldogs send several runners to the State meet in Kearney.
Girls Cross Country
The Bridgeport Bulldog Cross Country team has been very successful in both the Western Trails Conference and the South Platte Valley Conference. Each year the Bulldogs send several runners to the State meet in Kearney. The Girls team was also the district champion in 2022.
Boys Wrestling
The Bridgeport Bulldog Wrestling team is a very competitive and successful athletic program. Each year the wrestling team qualifies several athletes for the State meet in Omaha with multiple State medalists and champions.
Girls Wrestling
The Bridgeport Bulldog Girls Wrestling team is a very competitive and successful program. The team is a relatively new addition to the athletic programs at Bridgeport. However, the team has consistently qualified wrestlers to the State meet each year since its establishment.
Boys Basketball
The Bridgeport Boys Basketball program has a tradition of successful teams with a long list of conference championships and State tournament appearances with their most recent State championship coming in 1990.
Girls Basketball
Currently the Bridgeport Girls Basketball team is one of the top rated team across the State of Nebraska. The girls team has been conference champions for the Western Trails Conference and the South Platte Valley conference for the last three years. In addition, the team has placed in the top three for the last three years in a row at the Nebraska State Basketball Tournament.
Track
Each year the Bridgeport Track team send multiple athletes to the State meet at Burke Stadium.
Cheerleading
Bridgeport Public Schools has an enthusiastic and talented cheer squad to bolster school spirit at the sporting events. In addition, the team has been very successful at cheer competitions.

Strength Program

E-Sports
The E-Sports team was first established in the fall of 2022. In their first year they achieved substantial success and continue to build.
