My name is Kathy Baxter and I am the7-12th grade counselor.
I have lived in Bridgeport for 18 years.
I started my teaching career in the SandHills of Nebraska (4 years);
I was a special education teacher in Bridgeport (10 years) and in Gering, Nebraska (7 years). I received my master’s degree in school counseling in 2011 from Chadron State College.
My husband, Dave, has been the Spanish teacher at Bridgeport for the past 18 years. My son, Quentin, and my daughter, Emily are students at Chadron State College.
As a school counselor, my goal is to help every student be the best student they can be; this includes working directly with students as well as collaborating with families and staff. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help your child this year!
